All heating systems need a system to produce the heat that is then distributed through the rooms. All systems described below can be combined with solar heating systems.

Heat pump, this system works by electricity. A heat pump is a device that contains a heating-cooling circuit, resembling to a refrigerator. A heat pump can produce heat or cold. It is a system capable of supporting solar systems for hot water heating and pool heating. The advantage of a heat pump is that it is a low temperature system as it is solar energy. It is also a very economic system that takes advantage of room temperature to produce heat or cold. Therefore, it spends less electric power of the heat energy it produces.

Advantages:

  • Easy to install since you just have to connect the unit to the electric power network
  • Low power circuit heat / cold
  • Low Temperature System, compatible for solar energy.
  • Can produce heat and cold.

Disadvantages:

  • Use of conventional electricity.
  • SWhen it works it makes a noise like a dishwasher or a washing machine.
  • It is a little more expensive than gas and oil boilers.

Fancoils.

Boilers are the most widely used system to produce heat for heating. The boilers that predominate in Spain are gasoil or gas. From a certain point view of energy efficiency diesel boilers are very expensive. On the other hand, Techsolar installed on most systems other support systems, boilers can be combined with solar energy. Using an existing boiler as a support system is very often for solar energy.

Advantages:

  • They are very powerful in producing the heat.

Disadvantages:

  • Use of conventional electricity.
  • Reliance on fossil fuels.

Radiadores.

Biomass boiler, have a burning boilers running on renewable fuels. These fuels can be pellets, olive pits, almond shells, firewood, etc. The biomass boilers are often used to support solar systems; full availability is greater in winter, just when it’s needed.

Advantages:

  • Powerful in producing the heat.
  • Use renewable fuels.
  • price of the fuel is not directly dependent on the price of fossil fuels.
  • Energy Independence since the fuels are available at regional level.
  • Fuel price far below other types of boilers.

Disadvantages:

  • The fuel needs space when storing..
  • More expensive installation than other types of boilers.
